Pumpkin Carving!

Callaway Gardens

Oktoberfest

Fall, Fall, Fall...equals busy, busy, busy.

I know that it has been quite some times since I have uploaded photos of any kind or even posted something on here. I do, however, have a great excuse! Olivia had H1N1 and it was a very miserable time for anyone who had to care for her. She was truly sick and was absolutely miserable....rightfully so! I am glad that she got it now instead of during the Holidays and that it is over and done with.

So we have been a VERY busy little family. We are cold weather people and love the weather we have been having in Georgia! We have gone to Callaway Gardens, a mini Oktoberfest, carved pumpkins, decorated the house for Halloween and Fall, baking cookies, and just enjoying the overall season.
We have also been busy preparing the house for my family to come and visit. They are going to be coming in to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with us. We have been trying to finish up last minute projects that we have put off for way too long. It is tiring, but also a good motivator :)
As you can see in this picture here she also likes the Fall season and has been enjoying the many things we have been doing as a family. She was able to pick out her own Pumpkin at the Oktoberfest. She also got to play on the large inflatables they had set up, paint, eat some traditional German food, and just had a really great time. Sorry it has taken so long to update, but I will make the attempt to update more often since everyone is healthy!

Sickie...

My poor little Olivia is so sick this week. I knew she was getting sick when on Saturday we ventured out to the park and she cried the entire time we were there and then the whole way home. The next day she spiked a fever and it would NOT go down even with tylonel and motrin every three hours. Of course, come Monday, it is Columbus day and that means everything is closed-even the doctor. So I ended up taking her to the emergency room at 8pm which was packed. Thank goodness the charge nurse came out and said that it was going to be a very LONG wait, we have no beds open, no upcoming discharges, and no beds open up on the floors. It was suddenly like cockroaches scurrying when the lights come on. That place emptied so fast and we got right in. The doc said she had strep throat and gave us some antibiotics.

It is now two days on the antibiotic and she is absolutely miserable. She still has a fever on and off along with a cough. I am taking her back to the doctor's today to see if she has the flu on top of strep throat. My poor baby...I just want to be sick for her. She is just laying around watching LOTS of cartoons. I hope that she gets better soon, this is why I haven't posted anything new or any new pictures :(

Birthday...

I am planning a birthday party for my little Olivia! I am super excited about this planning and everything that goes into a party. The theme is going to be The Cat and The Hat as Olivia absolutely LOVES Dr. Suess. She makes us read the foot book at least 5 times a day and then the eye book. Thank goodness I haven't had the chance to show her the HUGE Dr. Suess book we bought for her at Disney right before she was born. So we are doing a party and I am making the invititations myself. Pictures to come of all of the progress!
